How does a CPA work?

CPA (Computer Particle Analyzer)

Why do I need a CPA?

A CPA can reduce the time and labor costs involved with traditional sieve analysis. Both the size and shape of your material is analyzed rapidly and accurately. The CPA is beneficial both as a stand-alone laboratory unit, or for in-line process control.

CPA technology provides the accuracy required to verify products are within specifications. That means eliminating the potential for product rejections altogether. Think about the positive effect that will have on you bottom line, and the ability to enhance the quality of the products your company is known for.

What is a CPA?

CPA stands for Computerized Particle Analyzer; a new generation replacement for traditional lab and sieve equipment. It uses a high resolution CCD (charge coupled device) camera and sophisticated software developed for particle size and shape analysis of dry, free-flowing, non-agglomerating particles in bulk materials. The CPA analyzes and calculates up to 10,000 particles per second. The particle size and shape calculations are performed pixel by pixel, independent of the angle of the particle. Featuring a real-time function, it can also be used as a particle counting device. The CPA is used to successfully analyze many different types of materials such as pharmaceuticals, food products, minerals, plastics, abrasives, etc.
