W.S. Tyler Completes Project at Student Recreation Center

Mentor, Ohio— W.S. Tyler is pleased to announce the completion of a major project at The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. The new student recreation center, which includes a three-court gym and indoor rock-climbing wall, features our Egla-Twin Architectural Wire Cloth panels. The panels were designed to conceal the air comfort systems located on the roof of the building.

The Egla-Twin weave provides a high open area and depending upon the sight angle, it can appear transparent or closed. This unique feature is a good choice for a variety of applications—from ceilings and wall panels to facades.

Architectural Woven Wire Cloth offers a unique ornamental mesh design, and in many applications serves functional requirements as well. It is available in a variety of styles, designs and materials and is woven in stainless steel, aluminum and other exotic metals. Egla-Twin is just one of many styles manufactured by W.S. Tyler and Haver & Boecker. Together, they have been leaders in the production of woven wire cloth products, worldwide, dating back to the 1800’s.
