W.S. Tyler’s Ton-Cap^® and Ty-Rod^® Slotted Opening Screens are manufactured to meet a wider range of high capacity and high production applications. 

 

W.S. Tyler was the first company to fabricate screens with slotted openings, which offer 10 to 50 percent more open area than equivalent square mesh. This design allows W.S. Tyler to manufacture Ton-Cap with a heavier, more durable wire than square mesh screens producing equivalent size materials. Ty-Rod’s long wire length produces a slight spring action, which aids in the screen freeing itself of wedged particles. Ton-Cap and Ty-Rod screens reduce the possibility of blinding in many difficult applications.

 

The slotted opening screens are available in W.S. Tyler’s unique Ty-Pro high-carbon alloy and in stainless steel.
