S-Class High Speed Vibrating Screens
W.S. Tyler Canada offers the S-CLASS vibrating screen as a versatile high speed circle-throw movement machine designed for medium and fine screening of very difficult wet or dry materials such as sands, gravel, lime, coal, chemicals, fertilizers, and metal ores. The S-CLASS is a tough two bearing machine with flexibility to meet demanding and changeable screening conditions. Speeds from 820 RPM to 3200 RPM and short forceful throws from .023 inch to 1/8 inch in diameter are designed in features that are available to handle the most difficult of applications. For maximum versatility, the S-CLASS screens are offered in one or two deck configurations. These decks are available in widths from two to five feet and in lengths up to twelve feet.

Action
The vibration of the S-CLASS is developed by a counterbalanced shaft assembly which is supported by two double spherical roller screen bearings mounted in ductile iron bearing housings at each end of the vibrator assembly. The vibrator is located over top of the vibrating screen body and is demountable for service. The circle-throw motion produced by the vibrating head is transferred into a forward inclined elliptical action on the screen surface at the feed end and into a backward inclined ellipse at the discharge end. This special design creates high transport velocities at the feed end and lower ones at the discharge end. This causes a quick and equal distribution of the material on the first third of the screen deck and a sharper screening at the last third. The S-CLASS vibrating screen is usually installed at an angle of 5 to 30 degrees. Operating speeds vary with material characteristics, with coarse feeds getting larger throws at lower rates of speed, and fine feeds experiencing short, sharply defined throws at much higher speeds. The S-CLASS Vibrating Screen is designed to provide cut sizes between 100 mesh to 3/4 inch.

Economy
The S-CLASS modular design and the use of standard components results in savings because W.S. Tyler Canada fabricates and assembles several different size machines from standard stock components. This standardization of components also results in readily available spare parts. Efficient operation, low production cost, and low maintenance are assured by S-CLASS rugged construction and large bearings. The bearings used by S-CLASS match the bearings used in our other vibrating screen series. S-CLASS standardized design combined with it's rugged construction results in minimum maintenance and downtime.

Quality
Every S-CLASS vibrating screen is backed by years of engineering experience. Prior to shipment each machine is carefully examined and tested over an 8 hour period assuring correct balance, satisfactory bearing operating temperatures, smooth operation, acceptable noise levels and quality workmanship.

Features
  • Alloy steel counterweighted shaft ground with precision tolerances.
  • Heavy duty self-aligning spherical roller screen bearings with inner races fitted to the shaft and outer races mounted in the cast ductile iron bearing housings.
  • “Loose-on-shaft” bearings provide easy installation, replacement, equal load distribution, and long life.
  • Oil seals prevent grit or other foreign matter from reaching the bearings.
  • Steel counterweighted wheels with adjustable weights for ease of changing eccentricity.
  • Seamless steel tube shaft casing with steel tube heads to assure proper bearing alignment.
  • Demountable vibrator head assembly.
  • Self-contained oil bath lubrication is standard for low maintenance.
  • Convenient sight gauge to determine oil level at a glance.
  • Magnetic drain plug keeps fine particles from causing wear.
  • CORTENside plates with top and bottom flanges for additional strength and rigidity.
  • Stover nuts used in shaft assembly and screen section tensioning for strong safe connections and ease of maintenance.
  • Positive 2-bend tension rails to engage the hooked edges of the screen sections
